Fun times at the State Fair!
Lava Hot Springs
We took our annual trip to Lava Hot Springs back in August. I konw the post is a little late... I'm a little slow. We had lots of fun though! We went on a Chuck Wagon Ride, floated the river, did a whole lot of nothin' but relaxin', even enjoyed some evening rain. As you can see from the pictures, Dane enjoyed the rain the most. It's always a fun time when we are together with our family!

Am I really old enough to have a kid in High School?

Today Dane started Pre School at West High!!! He has been looking forward to being a West High Panther since I signed him up in May. On a weekly basis we would hear, "Is today when I go to West High School"? He is so cute!
We went into his classroom, and no sooner than stepping foot in the door he told me I could "just go, I'll be all right!" WHERE IS THE LOVE??? I sent him off in to the great big world, and he tells me to "just go"...
When I picked him up, he told me he "knew all the answers", except "I didn't know about my bones" (there was a picture of the human skeletal system on the wall). So, hopefully I am qualified enough, in his eyes, to try to teach him about them.
It was a great day, He can't wait to go back!!!

Off to school!!!
Well, today was Erek & Jakob's first official day of public school. They have attended a small Catholic school(215 kids total in the school, Kindergarten through 8th grade) since they entered kindergarten at age 5. Now they are going to a school with 850 7th & 8th graders. It is probably more traumatic for me. They asked last year if they could go to public school, and in unison we said "NO"! So this year, we decided (only if they asked), that we would let them. We thought it might be nice if they met some of the kids in the neighborhood that they would go to West with. So, much to my dismay, when they asked, we said they could try it. They were far more excited than they look in the picture. They didn't think they needed their picture taken this morning, but I did.

Memory Lane
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't
matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory
about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me,
I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Burkeley Stella Allred
So... my last blog was in April... This one is in August... what do you expect from me? You should all know I'm a little slow by now! So, I'll give you the speed version of what has happened in the last few months.
We finished baseball season and our family all in the same month! Yeah (to baseball season being over), the last baby thing, maybe not. But, after a LONG and complicated pregnancy, on June 24th we got the prize that makes it all worth it - BURKELEY STELLA! She is the most amazing little gal. She has really blessed our home with her special little spirit. It took a lot to get her here, but it was SO worth it!!

'tis the season for baseball
That's right... baseball season has officially started. If you are trying to find us over the next few months, try the baseball park first, the house last. We should probably have our mailing address changed to the parks address since that is where we spend most of our "free time". Erek moved from the little league park to the Babe Ruth park. In addition to his regular team, he was invited to play on a Super League team. He's a great ball player, if I do say so myself!! We are excited to see what the season has in store for him!

Come July, life is going to be a whole lot different around the Allred house!
Well today was met with great anticipation. Today our ultrasound was scheduled to determine anatomy of the fetus. Because our house is so boy friendly, one would naturally assume another boy was in the works. It was much to our surprise when the tech told Dane Dogg that he was going to have a sister baby! That's right... We're having a GIRL!!! "What in the heck do you do with a girl?" I keep thinking to myself. I guess we'd better get as prepared as possible, for July holds a whole new world for us!!

February 23rd, Dane turned 3!
Dane turned 3 years old! I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. He wanted to go bowling for his birthday, so guess what we did?... We went bowling! We had a great time. It's always fun spending time with our families.
